Easy Steps to Clean Your Bathroom

The unfortunate truth is that figuring out how to clean your bathroom and keep it clean is easier said than done. This is because the bathroom is actually one of the hardest rooms for the average homeowner to keep clean. Loose hair in the draw, mildew in the shower, and toothpaste in the sink are just a few of the issues that must be dealt with when cleaning the bathroom. Fortunately, there are a handful of easy steps you can take to help make cleaning your bathroom easier.

Number One: Keep a Roll of Paper Towels in the Bathroom

Unfortunately, it is in human nature to be lazy. Often times, an individual will not clean up a mess simply because they would have to go out of their way to do so. Having paper towels in the bathroom makes it a great deal easier and more convenient for anyone to clean up a quick mess. Having paper towels in the bathroom also make it easier to wipe off the sink, bathtub, and toilet two or three times a day as well.

Number Two: Keep Countertops Free of Clutter

A lot of people have the tendency to be clutter bugs. Unfortunately, the bathroom is the ideal place to store all your hand soaps, lotions, shampoos, conditions, skin creams, and more. However, it is important to remember that your sink and countertops are not where you should be storing these products. These products should be on shelves or in cabinet drawers. It is fairly easy for dirt and debris to collect under these products when they are left sitting out on countertops. By tucking these products where they are meant to go, your bathroom is going to be easier to clean and look a little more organized too.

Number Three: Keep a Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Nearby

If you have a female in the house (or a male with long hair), it is not uncommon for loose hair to gather in the bathtub. It is also not uncommon for hair to gather on the floor of the bathroom as individuals shave and groom themselves. While a broom can pick up some of the hair, it is rare for a broom to be able to pick up all of the hair. A cordless vacuum cleaner is great for picking up the loose hair that gets left behind by the broom. In fact, running the vacuum cleaner through your bathroom once a day will really help keep it clean.

Number Four: Wipe Down the Bathtub after Every Use

All it takes is a couple of paper towels and some of your favorite cleaner after every bath or shower to keep your bathtub looking and smelling great. Grim and dirt will not be given the opportunity to build up, if you make an effort to wipe down your bathtub after every use.

Typically, the reason why individuals’ bathrooms become so messy and hard to clean is because they are lazy. Taking a little time out of every day to wipe down your bathroom is all you have to do in order to keep it clean. Doing a little cleaning each day will prevent you from having to do a large amount of cleaning in one sitting.
